So if you’re selling a product which solves skin problems, you could have two subject lines:

1. Make you skin glow with beauty
2. How to avoid having bad skin

You would think the second one would get a better open rate, because it’s all about avoiding pain. But you’ll find in most cases the first will get a better open rate (and probably sell more).

This may seem like a minor point, but in reality it will make you a lot more money, and it’s something worth thinking about every time you send an email. In the end it’s all about making sales, and that’s the real thing to concentrate on. And of course you have to make sure you write great content for your emails. But you always have to remember the more people open your mails the more likely you are to sell more – and that’s what it’s all about in the end.
