How To Position Yourself As An Expert To The People On Your List

One of the most profitable ways to make money with your online business is to position yourself as an expert to the people on your list. They already want to hear what you have to say, and if you do a good job teaching them the basic stuff, they are more likely to buy your higher end products or services.

So the natural question is ‘how do I position myself as an expert to the people on my list?’ That’s exactly what I’m going to teach you now…

1. Write a 50 to 100 page eBook on your niche – Make the information ‘cutting edge’ and fresh. This eBook can be a collection of articles strung together to make this ebook, but having a great piece of content that teaches some advanced stuff goes a long way to cementing yourself as an expert.

2. Write 5 to 10 page guides of ‘platinum level’ material – This won’t be as long as an ebook, but 5 to 10 pages is long enough to fully complete a strategy or technique. Plus, sometimes people will prefer 5 to 10 pages of material versus 50 pages. (tip: if you write 4 to 5 of these ‘guides’, that can be a future eBook too)

3. Send them ‘credibility emails’ the first 10 days in your email auto-responder campaign – For the first 7 to 10 days in your email campaign, you want to build a relationship and you want to build credibility. You can show you’re a diverse expert… you can send them to your Facebook page, you can send them an article you wrote, you can send them to a YouTube video you created, you can send them a Squidoo lens, you can send them to one of your blog posts, or anything else like that. If you vary your content, it shows your readers you’re everywhere.

4. Give them social proof that you have content everywhere – On a psychological level, people will believe you are an expert if they see you have content everywhere. Like in point #3, you want to ‘help them’ see that you have lots of content, and that it’s diverse and everywhere. Social proof is huge.

If you do these few things, the people on your list will naturally and subconsciously believe you’re an expert in your niche. The next step will be to make your content so intriguing that they want more of what of what you teach. When that happens, your business will explode!
