Should I be embarrassed by what I’m about to tell you?
Maybe.
But screw it. I’ll tell you anyway:
(And I’ll then tell you how YOU can use all this to make your email marketing a lot more profitable.)
Anyway, a few years ago, I studied the “art” of picking up girls. Yes, I bought every book you could find on the subject, written by those self-proclaimed “pick up artists”.
And did it work?
To an extent.
Although some of the tactics they use are flat-out cringeworthy. And other tactics just didn’t work at all.
For example, the whole “playing hard to get” thing. Yes, being desperate is a big no-no. I mean, who can blame any woman for being turned off my a guy who puts her on a pedestal.
But the pick-up artists make you take it to an extreme.
You see, everything’s a game to them. In fact, they see you as “beta” if you want a relationship. And one thing they recommend is to never chase a woman in the slightest. So I took this advice on board. And I’d act completely disinterested around them.
I’d also only text a woman once every week or two. Again, it’s what the pick-up artists were preaching.
Anyway, whilst this tactic did lead to a few dates, it never got me close to a relationship. (Or even “seeing” someone, for that matter.)
So I thought I’d try something different.
A lot different.
So instead of texting once every week or two, I’d start texting every day.
Not to the point where I was being desperate. If they didn’t text back, I wouldn’t text again til the next day.
But, nevertheless, I would send at least one text every single day.
And you know what?
It worked. It wasn’t long before I got together with someone. (Though we broke up when I left university to come back to Norwich.)
So why did it work?
Because by staying in touch with her every day, it was much easier to build a relationship.
It was much easier for her to get to know me.
And it almost made me a part of her life already. Even before we officially got together.
So, my friend, you might have already figured out why I’m telling you this.
No, it’s got nothing to do with me giving you dating advice. (Trust me, you wouldn’t want that!)
But, it’s got everything to do with your email marketing.
So just like texting the ladies every day brought me success in the dating world, writing to your email list every day should see the numbers in your bank account swell.
