If you want to make money on the internet, it’s essential that you build a large email list. The benefits of starting your own email newsletter and building your list are obvious. You get repeat traffic to your website, you get more sales because you’re following up to your prospects and customers, and you can do all of this for free.

Imagine if you had a list of 10,000 subscribers. What do you think you could do with this? Depending on the price of your product, I’m willing to bet that you’d be getting sales everyday. Along with that, you could put the entire process on autopilot, and make money when you sleep. Doesn’t this excite you?

There are many things that you can do to make your email list profitable, and that’s what I intend on showing you how to do today. Here’s the first way to make money with your email list:

1) Build a bond with your subscribers

You need to focus on building trust. The more your subscribers think that you’re after their best interest, the more likely they are to buy from you. What you need are “active” subscribers. This simply means that your subscribers should be contacting you often or commenting on your blog on a regular basis.

One way to build a bond with your subscribers is by telling them about yourself. Start with your story about how you got started in your niche, and provide them with information that really helps to connect you with them. They don’t want to sit and read content without substance. Try your best to connect and build a bond with your list, and you will be good to go. Here’s another tip for making money with your list.

2) Don’t contact them everyday

This is the fastest way to get people to unsubscribe from your list. If you contact your leads everyday and they feel like you’re becoming a “pest”… they will more than likely just remove themselves from your list. This is especially true if you’re contacting them everyday and trying to sell them something – with no good information presented.

Do yourself a favor. Don’t follow the gurus and email everyday. Just because you “think” they’re having a ton of success with emailing everyday, this could very well not be the case. I seriously doubt gurus would reveal the reasons why they’re emailing everyday.

Perhaps they think that people only read their emails every so often throughout the week, and they want to be there when you go and read your inbox. And when you do open your inbox up, they want to be right there at the top of messages list. But trust me, this isn’t the way to go.

Don’t contact them everyday. Email them every 3-5 days. I personally email every 3 days, and I’ve found that it’s working very well for me. I think you can do the same if you follow the tips in this lesson.
