Daily Email Writing Schedule for InfoMarketers (Advanced Tip)


The biggest single problem I see with my clients’ email campaigns is that they are sporadic. They mail every day for a month, then get distracted or working on something else, and forget to mail their current list. Then a month later, they are ready to start mailing again, and they send a few emails and find response rates are REALLY low. The reason is that the people on your list literally forget about you and how you can help them. You know how it is, you get a lot of emails each day yourself, and you only have time to open so many of them… So here is the solution: Don’t send broadcasts. Put your complete email campaign on autopilot by putting all your emails into your followup sequence.

Each new email you write, put it at the end of the sequence. Then…focus on writing for 30 minutes each day. Preferably before you do anything else, then you know that if nothing else gets done today, your email gets written. Here’s what I suggest: Write a 200 word email with a daily tip. Put it in your autoresponder. THEN – go to your favorite article directory, website, or blog where you are a guest writer, and add 200 more words (just add a 100 word introduction and another 100 words tying it to your main topic) and then you have a new unique article for online content. At the end of one year, if you work just 5 days a week, you will have 250 emails in your email campaign, and 250 articles online. Would that make a difference in your info business??? I have found that this strategy is the single biggest thing that you can do to create consistency in your business especially with writing your emails.

It only takes about 20-30 minutes each day to do this (I know because I do it). Then you are free to create products, create trainings to sell, or coach your clients.

So a typical daily info business work schedule might look like this:

7:00-7:30 write email and convert into article
7:30-9:30 work on your new product to sell
9:30-9:45 break
9:45-11:45 work on additional content for your content marketing campaign
11:45 – take the day off.

That makes for a 4 hour and 45 minute day, and at the end of one month, you have a minimum of 20 new emails in your autoresponder, you have a minimum of 20 new articles online, and you have worked on a product for 40 hours. And with 40 hours of product creation, you should be launching a new product each month. What would your business look like in one year with a 4:45 work schedule like this?
