Nothing is worst than YOU writing a great email – and having NO ONE open it. Yes, I’ve experienced that before… far more than I would have liked too. But it’s okay. I finally realize that the email subject line “might be” the most important part of the email! Because if no one opens it, what good is it?

Inside of today’s lesson, we’re going to take a look at some specific techniques that you can use to write great email subject lines that work, and that work excellently for improving your sales. This will be a very interesting and fun lesson for you… especially when you see that my tips are actually effective. Here’s the first tip:

1) Treat your subject line as a major headline

Essentially, that’s what it really is. You have to write a 3-6 word description that sums up your email contents, and you have to do it well. If you only have a generic subject line that regularly promotes all of the products on your website… you may not get great response rates.

So what can you do about this? Well, it’s time to get creative. First of all, always offer something different in your emails. For example, if you own a nutritional store and you’re always sending out the regular subject line that goes, “Products that will boost your nutritional and body health”… you need to change that.

Get creative and get your mental juices running. I’m confident that if you put your mind to it, you can promote each individual product (which is probably the best thing to do), and create a mini-campaign around it. Then do the same thing will all of your products. You will probably need some staff to help you out with your marketing and delivery functions when people order. So keep that in mind. Here’s another tip for improving your email subject lines:

2) Write 5 then pick the best one

This is actually a good strategy. Sometimes we tend to get complacent with the material that we create for our marketing efforts, and it may not exactly be what we were aiming for. Because of that, create 5 different email subject lines, then pick the best one that you think will get people to open up your email and read the whole thing.

If you need help, consult with a swipe file. A “swipe files” is simply old marketing materials that have been very successful when they were used… and are still successful today. You can find a ton of them online everywhere (if you look hard enough). Some require you to pay a small fee for them (which is understandable), but once you pay for it, you will be highly satisfied.

Email subject lines are very important, and don’t let anyone tell you differently. It’s one of the most essential and important elements for making a great living online. If you want to gain the upper hand in your business, make sure your email marketing is on point, and make sure that people are ACTUALLY opening up your emails!

Good luck!
